Code of conduct

MLQ2021 is organised as a satellite Photonics Online Meetup event, as such it follows the same guidelines regarding code of conduct. MLQ2021 is dedicated to providing a harassment-free environment for all participants — including attendees, presenters and organizers — across all of our platforms (virtual, Twitter, webinar and otherwise). Participants will conduct themselves in a professional manner that is welcoming to all and free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.

Participants will avoid any inappropriate actions or statements based on individual characteristics such as age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, nationality, political affiliation, ability status, educational background, or any other individual characteristics. Disruptive or harassing behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.

Violations of this code of conduct should be reported to the MLQ2021 chairs, who will take any action they deem fit including, but not limited to, warning the offender, expelling them from the event and banning them from future MLQ events.
